The Secret is based on a japanese novel written by Keigo Higashino

Benjamin and Hannah Marris form the perfect couple. Married for several years now, they love each other with the same intensity as the first day they met . They have a girl, Samantha, 16, who as all the teenagers who are the same age is not always easy to understand.As Benjamin is retained with work, Hannah and Samantha go away for some holidays to the mountain, and at a turning happens an accident.Benjamin is called at once to go back home with his family. Both sink in a coma. Despaired, Benjamin does not stop speaking to them in the hope to obtain a sign of one of them.Hannah regain conscience for a short time, just to tighten one last time the hand of her husband and the one of his daughter. Then she dies... At the same time, Samantha regain her conscience again. Torn between the ultimate pain to lose his wife and the joy of finding his daughter, Benjamin can't be in a worse confusion. But... In one moment their lives changed, at the time of her last breath, in this handshake full of love and of emotions, an incredible thing occurred...The spirit of Hannah left its body to fill that of his daughter. Benjamin will realize soon that the one he brings back home is no one other than his wife. Now that he knows the truth, they have to pretend now that the life remains the same and nobody has to discover their secret . Hannah will be ,from this moment,Samantha. As she's occupying the body of her daughter, she now has to adopt her daughter's life and she's going to discover that behind this adolescence crisis , some discomfort is hidden.
